Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School, District #54, located in northeast Nebraska, is committed to providing students a quality education in a risk-free, safe environment. Beginning with the 2010-2011 school year, students in grades 5 through 8 began attending middle school in Coleridge. Elementary school students (grades PK through 4), and high school students (grade 9 through 12) began their classes in Laurel. The LCC learning environment provides a focus on creating positive self-esteem and motivates students to reach their potential and become responsible, productive citizens with a desire for life-long learning. The goals of the LCC board of education are to maintain a quality education program for all students, operate in the most cost efficient manner possible, and maintain a school in each community. Quality teachers and support staff mirror the expectations of the community and fosters a strong relationship between district patrons.
Distance education and a progressive technology program, in our rural setting, provides our students access to a similar curriculum available in larger districts. Students have the opportunity to become involved in quality activities programs, which extend learning beyond the regular classroom. LCC’s academic programs work to promote interpersonal relationships, and self-discipline.
